SYZYGY AG is pleased with your visit of our jobs page and your interest in our company. The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us. That’s why we strictly adhere to the legal regulations with regard to the collection and processing of your personal data. Described below, we will inform you in detail about the extent and the purpose of the data collection and data processing on our website.

Purpose of Data Processing

SYZYGY AG processes and stores personal data as part of the recruiting process in order to fill vacancies and to manage unsolicited applications, respectively. Personal data provided by you will be exclusively used in order to follow the recruiting procedures and as far as it is necessary for the recruitment process.

 

Legal Basis for Data Processing

The processing of personal data by SYZYGY AG occurs for employment-related purposes (in this case where necessary for hiring decisions) and on a voluntary basis within the meaning of Art. 88 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with Sect. 26 para. 1 sentence 1, para. 3 German Federal Data Protection Act (new) and Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a), Art. 7 and Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a) GDPR. SYZYGY AG transfers personal data within other companies of the SYZYGY group only if the applicant has given his or her separate and explicit consent to the processing before.

 

Categories of Personal Data

SYZYGY AG processes and stores person master data and communication data provided by you as well as data and information included in your application documents.

 

Special Categories of Personal Data

We want to point out that application documents, especially CVs, certificates and other data provided by you may contain special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR: information about your health status, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, union memberships or your sex life. If you provide us with these kinds of information, this happens on a voluntary basis and with your explicit consent.

 

Origin of Personal Data

All personal data processed will be directly provided by the applicant as part of the recruiting process.

 

Categories of Recipients of Personal Data

You agree to the processing and transfer of your data to SYZYGY AG (and our external service provider) as part of the recruiting process by submitting your application.

The transfer of your data within other companies of the SYZYGY GROUP (SYZYGY Deutschland GmbH, SYZYGY Performance Marketing GmbH, different GmbH) where necessary for hiring decisions occurs only after you have given your consent. This happens on a voluntary basis and can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. Your data will not be transferred to other recipients without your explicit consent. This can lead to your application not being taken into consideration in the recruitment process in some cases.

A transfer of your data in a country outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), where a lower level of data protection might apply, does not take place either.

 

Duration of Data Retention

SYZYGY AG stores personal data as long as it is necessary within the meaning of Art. 17 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR.

Your application documents and all other information you have provided us with as part of the recruiting process will be retained by us for not more than 6 months after the recruiting process has been terminated. They will be deleted afterwards. This does not apply if legal regulations prevent us from deleting your data, if the retention is necessary for investigation purposes or if you have explicitly approved a longer retention period.

If we cannot offer you a currently open position but we are of the opinion that your application could be of interest to us for future job openings because of your profile, we will ask you for your consent. This would allow us to retain your application data for this purpose for a longer period of time.

 

Rights of the Data Subjects

Each data subject has the right of access within the meaning of Art. 15 GDPR with regard to the personal data concerning him or her, the right to rectification within the meaning of Art. 16 GDPR, the right to erasure within the meaning of Art. 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing within the meaning of Art. 18 GDPR, the right to data portability within the meaning of Art. 20 GDPR and the right to object within the meaning of Art. 21 GDPR – against SYZYGY AG under the applicable legal requirements.

The limitations of Sect. 34 and 35 German Federal Data Protection Act (new) apply to the right of access and the right to erasure.

In addition, you can file a complaint to a responsible data protection supervisory authority, for example the supervisory authority for SYZYGY AG – Der Hessische Datenschutzbeauftragte, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65021 Wiesbaden, e-mail to poststelle@datenschutz.hessen.de – within the meaning of Art. 77 GDPR in connection with Sect. 19 German Federal Data Protection Act (new).

Consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. This applies also to approvals given before the applicability of the GDPR, i.e. before May 25, 2018. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data based on consent before its withdrawal.

 

Obligation to Provide Personal Data

In order to conclude an employment relationship and to enable the performance of the contract, you must provide us with all personal data that are necessary for the implementation of this relationship or that we have to collect due to legal requirements. If you do not provide us with these data, we cannot implement the employment relationship.

 

Automated Decision-Making or Profiling

There will be no automated decision-making or profiling.

 

Data Security

SYZYGY AG has implemented comprehensive technical and organisational security measures in order to safeguard your data from accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or from unauthorised access. Our security procedures will be reviewed on a regular basis and adapted to technological progress.
